CCII is already forging a new understanding and common strategy with the Olubadan Advisory Council. Jointly, we have made representation to the State Governor for cooperation. In this regard, we are using the platform of the State Governor as a stakeholder in the Ibadan Palace project, to win the participation of our eleven (11) Local Governments, to buy into this project. With this new cooperation and alliance, we are hopeful we will be able to lay the foundation of the new Palace.

The Awotan Mausoleum Project [2013]

We have resuscitated and renewed our commitment to the construction of a befitting Mausoleum at the tomb of the founder of Ibadan-Lagelu, oro apatamaja. It has been our intention to turn the site where Lagelu was buried into a Tourist Centre. No doubt, with cooperation and commitment of Ido Local Government and its Caretaker Chairman, Prof. Olowofela has been un-paralleled since we mooted this idea about 18 years ago. With the doggedness of CCII, the current enthusian and cooperation if the Baale and people of Awotan and political will on the part of the State Government and personal commitment of the Governor, this project is expected to take off next year.
