100 DAYS IN OFFICE THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF THE CCII
The current Executive Council of the CCII was sworn in on Saturday July 15th, 2017 with a colourful and memorable Inauguration Ceremony that took place at Ibadan House.
Some of the achievements of the Executive Council with the short period are as follows:
1. Using the opportunity of the Inauguration to take CCII to natural limelight with eminent personalities across Nigeria in attendance and conspicuous presence in the national
2. Painstaking gathering of names of about 350 qualified and committed Ibadan Indigenes to serve as members of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Consultative Forum, Standing and Ad-hoc Committees of the CCII.
3. Conducting all the mandatory General Assembly and the EXCO Meetings within the period without a skip, postponement or rescheduling.
4. Immediate reversal of the usual affiliate clubs comments that “we are just contributing without any benefit from the CCII” – Clubs have started using Bode Amao Hall and Council Buses for their events free of charge.
5. Reversal of the proposal to spend additional N700,000.00 on the CCII Canteen to generate N36,000.00 per annum. The canteen has been let out at N100,000.00 per annum without spending additional kobo.
6. Putting Ibadan House in a neater and more decent position.
7. Making good the inherited short fall in the N5.0M Ibadan History Fund and increasing the Scholarship Fund to N2,5M and placing them in interest yielding ESCROW Accounts to be used strictly for the intended purposes.
8. Resuming work on Bode Amao Hall with donations of Money, Materials, Supervision and Labour from well meaning Nigerians even before organizing any of the usual fund-generating events of the CCII.
9. Collaborating with the Organizing Committee of Ibadan Mesiogo International Golf Tournament to attract N500,000.00 Empowerment Fund to the low income women in Ibadanland.
10. Rescutating the conduct of the Consultative Forum Meeting which had been suspended for over 15 months.
11. Recording improved attendance at the General Assembly meeting and introducing new things at each meeting.
12. Creating additional six (6) vacancies in the Staff strength of the CCII mainly in income-generating aspects of her operation
13. Invoking the provisions of Sec. 3.4 (v) of the CCII Constitution to prevent chaos and unrest following the crowning of 21 Obas in Ibadanland.
14. Recording the admission of three (3) new clubs into the CCII within three (3) months.
15. Reversing the move to impose additional levy/payments of about N20,000.00 on each club for the Book “CCII @ 35”
16. Creating the structures and procedures on Salaries, Recruitment, Staff Discipline, Procurement etc. slated to take effect from 1st January, 2018
17. Liaising with all the stakeholders and engaging in subtle Public Enlightenment programmes to dense the tension on the Olubadan Chieftaincy Crisis.
18. Operating an open and transparent Financial System through separation of Bank Accounts into – Ibadan Improvement Fund, (Donations) Ibadan Business Development Fund (Business Loans), Ibadan Cultural Festival Fund (only Club Levies and Income on the Projects), Ibadan Merit Award Fund (Donations from Merit Awardees), Club Subscription /Council Secretariat Income (Running Cost), Olubadan Palace Fund (strictly for Olubadan Palace) Scholarship Fund (strictly for full scholarship) and Members Benefits and Services Fund (for Insurance Employment Coordination, ID card etc. for members).
19. Creating the offices of Ambassadors and Special Advisers to the President General to enhance the relationship and communication of the CCII with the affiliate Satellite and Diaspora Clubs.
20. Creating a Comprehensive Roadmap and schedule of Deliverables for each of the Standing/Ad-hoc Committees of the CCII as contained in this Brochure.
21. Decentralizing the Powers of the President General to other capable EXCO Members based on their experience and vocation e.g. VPG 1 (Administration), VPG2 (Capital Projects), Treasurer (Religion) and PRO (Youths).
